About
Chrononaut is 8 browser games built around a single idea: the version of you from thirty seconds ago is still on the board, and it is not on your side.
Most of what is here was written for this site, on the same small canvas engine — a fixed-timestep loop, an input layer and a particle pool. Games from elsewhere run in a sandboxed frame and report into the same profile, so your hours and achievements are in one place whoever wrote the game.
Accounts
You do not need one to play, or even to post a score. An account exists so a handle on a leaderboard means one person, and so your hours, achievements and saved progress follow you between devices.
Scores
Boards keep one entry per player: your best run. Scores are checked for shape, not for honesty — this is a site about jumping over blocks, not a bank.
